Creamy Spiced Chicken
A rich and creamy spiced chicken dish with a blend of yogurt, cream, paprika, and garam masala. Can be made with boneless chicken or baby chickens.If you’re using chicken on the bones it takes longer to cook than boneless chicken.
Ingredients
- 1 kg boneless chicken or 2 baby chickens, cut into small pieces
- Juice of 1 whole lemon
- 1 tbsp crushed ginger
- 4 garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 3 tsp paprika
- Ground red chili powder, to taste
- 12 tbsp cream
- 1 tsp homemade garam masala
- Oil
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 2 tbsps yogurt
- 3 tomatoes
- Chopped green coriander for garnish

In a pot, sauté the chopped onions with a pinch of salt until they become tender.

In a blender, blend together the lemon juice, crushed ginger, crushed garlic, ground cumin, paprika, red chili powder, cream, and homemade garam masala. Set the mixture aside.

Stir the blended mixture into the pot with the onions and cook for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the flavours are well combined.

Cover the pot and continue cooking on low heat for 20 minutes.

Add the chicken to the pot and stir for 10 minutes to coat it with the sauce.

Cover the pot again and let it simmer on low heat for 30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.

Garnish with chopped green coriander before serving.
